The neutron stars are 4 guys with a really great name for their band. They
are also honored to be taking part in this compilation. OK let's cut the
3rd person fromage, we're glad to be on this album with our friends, put
together by our friends, and made for our friends. The tune "David Suzuki"
isn't necessarily about what a great guy he may or may not be, but rather is
about much of what he professes: that we all have a responsibility to the
planet we live on, and its inhabitants. Sometimes we forget this, we get
greedy and forget to share. So tomorrow, hold the door open for someone, or
pick up a piece of trash off the ground, or smile at a stranger, or ride
your bike instead of driving, or compliment someone's hairdo. It'll make you
feel good.
with love, the neutron stars.

Music has been an obsession and passion for the members of starving friday for as long as they can remember. Their brand of hard rock music
focuses heavily on melodies and harmonies and is influenced by groups such as Deftones, Veruca Salt and Catherine wheel.
Becky (lead guitarist/vocals), Scarlet (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Hillary (drummer) joined forces with Meaghan (bassist) and began performing
together in 1994. Over the past few months starving friday has welcomed a new drummer, Ryan, who is presently performing with the group while
Hillary takes some time off to travel over the next year.
starving friday has shared the stage with artists such as Sloan, Rufus Wainwright, Rusty, Glueleg and showcased with Robin Black and the Intergalactic
Rockstars, Cheerleader and Mudmen. In October 2001 they accompanied Clarknova, Scratching Post and the Salads for a date on the XXL Indie tour.
In 2002 they performed at Guelph's Hillside Festival, alongside Hawksley Workman, Starling and Danny Michel.
starving friday's new 2-song single "Borrow" is now available.
