The City of Music project was born out of a love for the music of Guelph and the musicians that make it. It is a celebration of diversity as well as unity. This collection serves as a signpost, a marking of lineage, and a partial census of the Guelph music community. Guelph has had a history of musical signposts and this CD represents our intention to continue the tradition. We hope that this collection will inspire others as it has inspired us. To all those who have participated in the project, we say cheers and much respect.


The Barking Swan record label has been created specifically to release the City of Music compilation CD. The record label is administered by Jon Halliwell and Victor Wolters who live in Guelph and both work in the music and entertainment industry.
